What we believe
The Trinity: We believe that there is only one God-The Creator, Sustainer, and Source of all things. He eternally exists in Three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The three are co-equal and are one God.
The Father:
The Father is the equal to the Son and the Holy Spirit as God. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, and all-wise. |
The Son:
We believe Jesus Christ is eternally God, the creator, one with the Father and the Son, made man for humanity’s redemption. He died for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and will return to reign as King of Kings. |
The Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and Son as God. He makes people aware of their need for Jesus, lives in every believer, and empowers, guides, and teaches them to live according to God’s will. |
Mankind:
We are created in God’s image, with the potential for good, but marred by sin, which separates us from God. Rebirth through confession and faith in Jesus Christ is necessary for restoration. |
Sin and Atonement:
We believe Christ died on the cross |
Salvation:
We believe salvation is a gift from God, offered through the death and shed blood of Jesus Christ. It is received by faith, through repentance, belief, and confessing Jesus as Lord. Salvation brings reconciliation with God, leading to eternal life in Heaven, while rejection leads to eternal separation from God in Hell. |
Baptism & Lord’s Supper:
Baptism symbolizes Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, and is a public testimony of our decision to follow Him. The Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice until His return.
The Christian Life:
We believe in the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, and that God’s promises are final. The Christian life involves trials and spiritual warfare, requiring dependence on the Holy Spirit, obedience to God’s Word, and a willingness to resist worldly desires. |
Marriage:
Marriage is the covenant union of one man and one woman for life, designed by God for companionship, sexual expression within biblical standards, and procreation. |
