Trinity Christian College, Kalayapuram, proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India on August 15, 2025, at the college campus in Kalayapuram, Kollam District, Kerala. The program began with the solemn flag hoisting ceremony, as the national flag was unfurled with respect and dignity, accompanied by the singing of the national anthem. Faculty, staff, and students gathered together to honor the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and to reflect on the responsibilities of being citizens of a free nation.

The event included patriotic songs, cultural performances, and student presentations that highlighted the rich heritage of India and the values of unity, freedom, and justice. Special messages were delivered by faculty members, encouraging students to uphold moral integrity, contribute positively to society, and serve the nation with dedication. The Independence Day Address was delivered by Rev. Lalechen Abraham, Executive Director of TIM, who reminded the community that true independence is found not only in political freedom but also in living responsibly and in service to God and humanity.

The celebration concluded with a renewed commitment to the nation and prayers for peace, progress, and unity. The 79th Independence Day served as a moment of gratitude for the past, pride in the present, and hope for a brighter future for our country and its people.
